Lambeth Town Hall
The works consisted of restoring 11 fireplaces all in the Georgian taste but built in the Edwardian period.
Nine of the fireplaces were in a marble called Breccia Violet in a Bolection design with cast iron inserts in the French taste. We cleaned repaired and where required replaced damaged or missing parts and wax finished surround.
The cast iron interiors were graphite finished and buffed it also had marble curbs and hearth in the same material these where also restored.
The two main fireplaces which were in the long room on the 1st floor were made from Botticino marble in a Bolection design with cast iron interior and one Georgian style basket.
We cleaned the marble chimney piece and used Botticino marble to inlay missing pieces to the chimney piece.
The cast iron interiors was graphite finished as was the basket.
